The Company

Analysis Plus Inc.

Analysis Plus, Inc. has provided electronic and electromagnetic simulation and analysis for a host of companies since its inception in 1993.

All the members of our team hold advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering or Physics, and our specialty is the art of computer simulation.

We are experts in the use of Saber, Matlab, Ansoft, and Spice, among other tools, as well as in the testing and measurement of physical devices. This expertise allows us to bring the appropriate tool to bear on the task at hand.  For this reason, our consulting work has been wide-ranging to include the following companies:

Motorola

-  Electromagnetic interference (EMI) design;

Ford Motor Company
    -  The design and modeling of electromagnetic shields for Anti-
        lock Brake Sensors;

TRW
   -  Created advanced models of integrated circuits (ICs);

Stryker Medical
   -  Simulation and testing of an electric device too small to test
       with normal instruments;

Bonart Corporation of Taiwan
   -  Designed, built and tested engineering prototypes of
      piezoelectric dental tooth cleaners

MIS of New York

-  Designed the shielding for magnetic resonance imaging
      (MRI) rooms

Pollack
   - Created SABER models of automotive components.

We've also done work for XLVision, ITT, American Cooling Systems, Braden Shielding, American Metal and Plastic, American Electronic Components, Sinosonic Industrial, MAGNA and other companies, though we're not at liberty to discuss any details.

Many companies want to use computer analysis. However, they don't find it cost effective to create a dedicated department, buy the computers and software, and train staff. This is why it is to your advantage to use consultants and pay for the expertise only when needed.

Analysis Plus Inc. is an engineering consulting firm that would like to offer you our services in DESIGN, ANALYSIS and TESTING. We can do the whole job or help supplement your engineering department.

"Simulation" and "analysis" are two very misunderstood words. They are tools the modern consultant brings to the table. In the past only simple problems could be solved directly, so engineers learned to make assumptions and use approximations to solve problems. They relied heavily on past experience and seat-of-the-pants decisions. The computer has revolutionized the engineering field by allowing complicated real world problems to be solved and analyzed without guess work. You no longer need to build expensive prototypes and use trial and error to test your design. It is now possible to optimize your design using computer analysis and test it without building a single prototype. This new technology has resulted in better products at reduced costs and has produced a quicker time to market.

Another advantage of simulation is that it not only gives you the physical values of the system, it can also provide hypothetical and theoretical values and information. For example, a device might be too small to be measured with test instruments, or it might not exist. You may wonder how it will perform in an environment that may be very difficult and costly to replicate. With analysis you can easily do "what-if" scenarios, for example, changing a capacitor value and immediately seeing the effects of the change.

When you want the best, turn to Analysis Plus Inc. We have helped Motorola®, ITT®, Stryker® and other top companies and we would like to help you. Let us make you look good to your customers. We not only supplement your engineering group, but we can provide you with overheads, charts, technical material, training, advertising and reports.

Analysis Plus, Inc. (API) was founded in January 1993 by three former graduate students from the University of Michigan. They found that there was a need in industry for people who are experienced in computer simulation.

We are a small and lean company with very little overhead. What this means to you is good service at a price that is hard to beat. We are in this business because we love it. We have fun at what we do. We have personally found this to be the most important factor in our success, and it shows in the responses of our clients. This attitude is shared by every member of our team, and results in increased creativity, innovation, and satisfaction in a job well done.

API has performed analyses on medical devices, automotive components, audio systems, consumer products and manufacturing processes.
